Sunshine Coast Council with Visit Sunshine Coast have a number of new initiatives to expand our local industries, futuring employment, investments and GDP.
1. Launching a new brand to promote the regions agritourism experiences, called Queensland Sunshine Pantry stocked with:
- more than 900 producers
- 24 food and beverage tours
- 18 food events
- 400 food tourism experiences
- six food precincts
- 740 restaurants
- 22 craft breweries
- one Big Pineapple
2. The 2023 Sunshine Coast Screen Summit brought together over 70 industries along with representatives from Screen Queensland, Sunshine Coast Council, University of the Sunshine Coast and Sunshine Coast Screen Collective to launch the 'Screen Production on the Sunshine Coast' report, the new film locations gallery and Sunny Coast Showdown 24.
Our screen industry is going from strength to strength, collaborating and innovating to further the opportunities for screen practitioners on the Sunshine Coast. There are exciting times ahead so if you want to get involved, link up with the Sunshine Coast Screen Collective.
3. Sunshine Coast Jobs Hub is FREE for businesses to advertise their job opportunities, search the CVs of job seekers and it also aggregates employment opportunities from other job sites to showcase roles specifically located on the Sunshine Coast.
