A. Sunshine Coast Council has updated mapping showing overlays you can check against the property address. This covers past, present and future flood modelling, along with insufficient drainage and slippage hazard areas.
Flood overlays can significantly increase your insurance on a property or it may be the case where you cannot get flood insurance, leaving you open to losing your largest assets should the worst case scenario happen.
I would reiterate the warning ‘If it’s flooded forget it!’ find a better located property to purchase.
