Plans were lodged last week for a 14HA site on Steve Irwin way at Beerwah for an Over 50’s village.
The estimated cost of the project, including land, was $70 million and includes 200, two-bedroom detached dwellings and community facilities of a gym, swimming pool, cinemas, billiards room, lawn bowls green, putting green and kids playroom and craft room.
A men’s shed has ben planned for the site while a dog park and RV storage shed have also been proposed.
The village will be welcoming its first residents before Christmas 2020 if the plans were given the go ahead.
