The Sunshine Coast has seen a 66% increase in Building Approvals for the 12 months to June 2014. Approvals on the coast in the 12 months were 2805, up from 1690 from the previous year, making us the biggest improver in Queensland.
Master Builders, Michael Hopkins said building confidence on the Sunshine Coast is above the 10-year average.
With one in seven people on the Sunshine coast working in construction this increase flows to the general economy through motoring, retail, cafes and restaurants.
